Staff nurse of Sigatoka Hospital rang and reported a case of DOA sometimes this evening.

□ SEQUENCE OF EVENTS

• 2250hrs- At Sigatoka Police Station, PC 8758 Napolioni received a call from Sigatoka Hospital that there's a case of DOA.

• 2251hrs- At Sigatoka Police Station, Cpl 3813 Alumeci was informed.

• 2255hrs- At Sigatoka Police Station, PC 8270 Cama drove out fleet 159 conveying PC 7248 Prishika, Cpl 3813 Alumeci, PC 7470 Catherine towards Sigatoka Hospital.

• 2300hrs- At Sigatoka Hospital, Team was informed by one staff nurse that the 3 male police officers brought the deceased from Town End, Sigatoka that he was lying motionless and was with heavy smell of liquor. Dr Suki then checked the deceased and pronounced him death on arrival.

• 2304hrs- At Sigatoka Hospital, Cpl 3813 Alumeci then contacted the deceased relatives.

• 0010hrs- At Sigatoka Hospital, PC 7248 Prshika recorded the statement of the deceased wife namely Litiana Senikau, 37yrs, Admin Officer of Qereqere Settlement, Sigatoka.

Deceased: Jovesa Tanikorolevu.37yrs,Police Officer of Qereqere Settlement,Sigatoka.

Police Officer was from Lami

The deceased had visible injuries.

The officer who died is the one who was implicated in Ralagi’s death in Lami

*first hand witness said his body was dumped there by a police private vehicle.
