Charges to be against officers ????compol- yes or no??

Can Compol confirm or deny that charges will be laid against the following officers from Lami:-

1. pC Simi

2. IP Luke Lewabeci

3. Pc (crime officer) Watisoni Sevutia

For aiding and abedding in the death of constable Peni R and attempting to prevent the course of justice.

Where is the investigation file now? Is it with DPP or is Police CID numerating on the file- Will there be another cover up ? Why hasn’t the new files relating to the case not been sent to DPP??

The charges is a waiting approval by DPP regarding the Team that conducted the investigations into the death of PC Peni Racagi. After the court dismissed the 2 accused from court those that conducted the investigations from South Division task force and also the CID HQ were told to go on leave.

An investigation was then conducted and the following was found;

1. The charging of the 2 suspects was done to derail the investigation and the real suspects.

2. The evidence that was gathered during the course of the investigations was not to establish the real killer but to conceal the involvement of Police Officers in Lami.

3. The investigation found the following Officers to be linked to the death of PC Peni Racagi IP Luke Lewabeci (Crime Officer Lami, PC Watisoni Sevutia (Crime Man), PC Simi whom PC Peni had an affair with his wife, and PC Ilisoni who was his partner. All these officers were the last to be seen drinking with PC Peni.

4. Divisional Crime Officer SP Nagata Batidegei who was supervising the investigation was instructed by ACP Mesake Waqa to detour the investigation because PC Simi is his nephew. Then that was where the 2 suspects was brought in to be charged as they were also in the church area during the time the Police officers mentioned above was drinking.
