USP Accountability Crisis: Student Body Unfairly Targeted?? a matter of serious concern regarding the current situation at the University of the South Pacific Association. That the Deputy Secretary General and his/her boss the Secretary General, are being pushed for termination by the USP Interim Management Group (IMG). The numerous emails to the USPSA President and Chair of Student Council to terminate their positions. These emails have been sent to the President by the Deputy Pro Chancellor Professor Pat Walsh.

It has come to light that the internal audit conducted last year by Grant Thornton revealed significant issues within the USP department. However, instead of addressing these findings, which included $4.6 million unaccounted for from the USP Estate Infrastructure, the management has chosen to divert attention towards the student body. The USP reports have been effectively swept under the carpet, while the student body is being unfairly targeted.

The university has been without a Vice-Chancellor for an extended period, and is currently run by the Interim Management Group, led by the Pro-Chancellor, Deputy Pro-Chancellor, and Walter Fraser. These very individuals, who approved the unaccounted funds, are now attempting to shift the focus onto the student body, thereby deflecting scrutiny from their own actions.

Additionally, it has been noted that the student body used $121,000 from Laucala without following due process. The USP IMG team is now pursuing this matter over $121,000, while the much larger issue of $4.6 million remains concealed. This imbalance highlights the unfairness of the current approach, where minor infractions are magnified to distract from far more serious financial discrepancies.

This situation is deeply unjust. It is unfair that the student body is being made the scapegoat while the issue of the missing $4.6 million remains concealed allegedly ?? Is it True?? However, it also emerged that both secretriact and Deputy General are complicit in covering up in the mismanagement of funds and must be investigated?? Is it true?? So should they be terminated for the investigation to go ahead? Both Emosi and Lepani will be terminated as per USP council documents and meeting. Let the games begin.
