When our FRU fails its players and possible our country ???

Can Fiji Rugby Union confirm or deny that a call was made to Deputant Fiji rugby team player Isikeli Rabitu. Who was called up to replace the injured Venaya Habosi?? However Due to the flight being fully booked, Isikeli Rabitu was unable to fly with the rest of the Fiji rugby team from Fiji to Hong Kong.

The only available flight was for him to travel to NZ on transit through Hong Kong. Yesterday a person (ID withheld) made a call from Fiji stating that Isikeli Rabitu was stuck at Auckland Airport as FRU had not booked his hotel accommodation whilst on transit.

It was verified that by the Hotel that FRU had not booked any accommodation for Isikeli Rabitu.

Isikeli Rabitu was stranded and it was through the Fijian Community who assisted in Auckland with Accommodation. Isikeli Rabitu was dropped at Auckland Airport in the morning. Isikeli Rabitu was stopped at Auckland Airport due to visa to Hong Kong to the United Kingdom. His visa was not organised by FRU thus he was stranded at Auckland Airport. Various calls was made to the team manager without any reponse. Various supporters also tried contacting FRU and its management to no avail.

The incident would have left Isikeli Rabitu rather embarrassed. But due to persistent FRU finally organised the visa required with 2 minutes of the gates closing. It was the flight coordinator at Auckland Aurprot who understood the dilemma and allowed extra time to give Isikeli Rabitu to organise the visa prior to gate closing. FRU do not care about players welfare and it is becoming a constant dilemma
